DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Knowing your rights is vital to fighting back! We have rights guaranteed us as citizens of this country. Millions have died for us to have these rights, millions have suffered trying to protect these rights, and so many of us don't even know what these rights are. And honestly, the government doesn't want you to know about some of these rights! Because if you know, surely you will demand them, and make it so much harder for them to bully you into doing what they want.
Each right I have listed is an equal right, for all citizens, unless otherwise noted. There are situations in which a citizen's right may be denied by court order, such as certain rights denied to those convicted of felonies. I do not note exceptions such as these.
*Please note-If you are a non-citizen, most of these rights apply to you as well, but I have chosen not to research rights specifically in relation to non-citizens. Not to discriminate, but the issue is highly complex.

*THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT.
This means you do not have to speak to CPS workers, police officers, FBI agents, ect. EXCEPTION: In some states you are required to identify yourself to a police officer if asked.
*THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY WITHOUT A WARRANT
This means that when CPS or a police officer come knocking at your door, you can simply ignore them. You do not have to let them in without a warrant signed by a judge. EXCEPTION: They may claim "imminent harm". Using this, they can enter your home over your objections. However, telling you that is their reason for wanting to enter does not mean you have to open the door for them.
